The Paw Print Genetics comprehensive genetic panel includes testing for the following genes: CEA, CH, DM, HC, JC, HUU, MDR1, CMR1, NCL, NCL6, and PRA-PRCD.

Our dogs are cleared by parentage, meaning the parents of our dams and sires have been tested and are free of specific genetic diseases caused by the genes listed above. In the event that a parent is a carrier for a genetic trait, we test our dams and sires for this specific trait. This ensures that our parents are clear of health concerns common to the Mini Aussie breed. If one of our dams or sires is a carrier of a specific gene, we ensure they do not breed with another carrier for the same gene. This ensures that all of our puppies will not develop diseases associated with the genes above.
